SUPERMARKET ASSISTANT NEEDED WITH OUTSTANDING BENEFITS
A supermarket assistant replenishes stock on supermarket shelves and helps customers find items they are looking for. You’ll be charged to delivering excellent customer service by working flexibly as part of a team, ensuring that stock is replenished and displayed to required standards. To adhere to hygiene and health and safety standards at all times.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Going round the aisles taking note of which stock needs replacing
Removing expired goods from the shelve
Stacking the shelves and display areas, including fridges and freezers
Making sure that stock is rotated — putting goods with the earliest sell-by dates to the front
Making sure that fridges and freezers are at the correct temperature
Cleaning the shelves and keeping stock neat and tidy
Helping customers with any queries, including showing them where items are
In a large store, specializing in one particular department such as grocery or chilled foods
JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
Strong customer service skills
Good cash handling skills
Sound understanding of retail sales and ability to gain product knowledge quickly
Good oral communication skills
